Monica's Story (Interview by Laura)

My name is Laura Ellen, and I have been selling life-changing health and wellness products for the last decade. I made this blog because a few months ago, my friend Monica told me about a product she'd recently purchased, which finally fixed her sleep issues.
Since I've known her, she has tried just about everything to get a better night's sleep. I've watched her spend literally thousands of dollars, buying the latest and most cutting edge health products, in an effort to just get a good night's sleep.
Monica has been my business partner for the last 8 years, as we are both in the health and wellness indutry, and share a passion for sharing products that help people with their health. I originally met Monica because when I was looking online to purchase a Kangen water machine, I saw that she had written a very long, detailed testimonial about how the water had helped her to overcome many health challenges. She was extremely knowledgeable about the product, as well as very passionate about helping others, so I purchased my machine from her, and we've been close friends ever since.
The water was very helpful to both of us in many ways (it actually helped me to get by with less sleep, while I felt like my sleep was more restful). But Monica had the most hardore case of insomnia that I'd ever heard of. She had been struggling with sleep issues for 25 years, and even with all the health products she'd tried, she still hadn't been able to figure out how to consistently get a full 7 to 8 hours of Z's per night.
I felt bad for her, but for a long time, I couldn't really emphathize with her sleep issues, because for the majority of my life, I've been a pretty deep sleeper. But that tendency to fall into a deep slumber was my problem. I didn't like it that I was such a deep sleeper, because I would usually feel groggy when I woke up. I was the furthest thing from a morning person!
I had always envied people who were able to get sufficient rest after just 6 or 7 hours. I didn't want to have to get 8 hours of sleep, because I wanted more time in my week. The way I looked at it, being able to sleep just one hour less sleep per day can give you 365 extra hours in a year! When I was working in an office, 8 hours a day (which feels more like 10 when you consider your commute and getting-ready-for-work time), I felt like I didn't have enough time in my week, to do all the things I needed to do.
I was always looking for ways to sleep less deeply, so I could be a more energetic person in the morning. When I lived in a sunny studio in my 20s, I would actually sleep with my curtains wide open, so the sun would hit me in the face, early in the morning. Sometimes I'd sleep with the lights on, if I needed to get up early, and if I had something important to do, I needed to set several alarm clocks to be sure I could wake up from my deep slumber. I took vitamins that cost me $135 a month, largely because they enabled me to get by with 6.5 to 7 hours of sleep (and feel energetic), vs. the 8 hours I was used to needing.
Well, fast forward to the year I turned 50, and I suddenly got to experience what daily insomnia is really like. I was having an extremely stressful year, and I think the stress hastened my journey into perimenopause. All of a sudden, I was having hot flashes, and I'd wake up at 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning and be WIDE awake. It finally hit me why so many of my female friends in their 50s and 60s had a tendency to email me at 4 or 5 o'clock in the morning!
I was not happy about this new sleep schedule, waking up in the middle of the night, not being able to go right back to sleep, and feeling groggy in the middle of the day because I didn't get enough rest. I suddenly realized how lucky I'd been, to get to sleep 8 straight hours without ever waking up in the middle of the night! Luckily, these sleep issues have subsided over the last few years (unless I'm having a very stressful day or drinking too much caffeine), but the experience gave me a lot of empathy for people who struggle with sleep disorders. Now I understood why Monica had been so frustrated by her sleep disturbances!
Then one day in January of 2023, Monica called me to tell me about how she had finally found a way to get a good night's sleep. I was happy for her, but originally had no interest in ordering the products myself, because I didn't feel like I had any major sleep issues anymore. The hot flashes had gone away, and I only seemed to have sleep issues if I had consumed too much caffeine or if my stress level was higher than usual.
But then I started hearing about how much the products seemed to be helping people who had problems with their eyesight. And that made me very interested in learning more. I have had eyesight issues for most of my life (I'm extremely nearsighted) and it's just gotten worse in my 50's. I had a minor accident a few years ago (where a box fell on my eye) that left me with some scar tissue, and I was told at my last optometry appointment that I have the very beginning of a cataract.
I've also been told (for over 30 years) that I am a candidate for retinal detachment. As it turns out, one of SleepM's top distrubutors, Al Powell, had a retinal detatchment, and he really felt like the SleepM mask helped him with his recovery. You can see his video at the top of our "testimonials" page.
I was happy to see I was instantly approved for the Snap financing, and ordered 2 biocrystal pads - one for myself, and the other for a german shepherd I am fostering (who was experiencing liver and allergy issues). I also ordered a set of eye masks.
The first night I used the products, I could actually feel the muscle in my right eye (the one with the cataract) contracting, slightly, while I was sleeping. I'd never experienced that before... it was as if my eye was being energized and waking up, and I have to say, my eyesight does seem to be better on the days when I use the mask.
I was a little concerned that I might feel "groggy" since Monica had told me the products had helped her to get a "depper" level of sleep. And I had never liked the fact that I was usually a very deep sleeper. I was a little concerned that if I slept any more deeply, I'd be in such a deep slumber that it would be difficult for me to wake up. But that wasn't an issue at all. I felt like I'd had a really great night's sleep, and I was energized when I woke up after about 6 1/2 or 7 hours of sleep.
But the biggest thing that I was impressed by, was something I wasn't expecting at all.
For several weeks before I tried the SleepM products, I had been experiencing foot pain that I can't explain. I don't know why I had it. I had walked a Marathon (my first) in December, so I thought maybe that was part of the reason, but because I hadn't experienced any noticeable pain in the weeks following the marathon, that didn't seem right. I had a leg injury before the marathon that caused me to limp, so I wasn't sure I would even be able to complete the full 26 miles, but I used a few different healing devices and just kept going until I finished. Luckily, my recovery only took about a day, and I better than ever!
So I couldn't understand, what was with this sudden foot pain that suddenly showed up a few weeks after the marathon? I couldn't figure it out, but it really bothered me because I have a very low tolerance for pain (which is part of the reason I am passionate about helping other people with their pain). When I would wake up in the morning, and get out of bed, my feet would just be very achy, when they'd hit the floor.
This strange pain went on for several weeks. It wasn't like a constant pain, just pretty much when I'd go up and down stairs, but still... I was only 54 and I wanted to train to run a full marathon. So that pain really messed with my psyche and made me feel old. It wasn't something I thought about a lot throughout the day, because it only bothered me when I either got out of bed in the morning and walked to the bathroom, or when I walked up and down stairs. But still... it was really annoying because I didn't know what the cause was.
Well, after that first night of using the sleep M products, I woke up in the morning, went to the bathroom, and it was only when I was walking out of the bathroom that I suddenly realized.... my feet hadn't been sore at all, when they hit the floor. It was the first time, since the pain had started, that my feet had "gone back to normal," and the foot pain hasn't returned at all, since I've been using the products.
I have no explanation for why an eye mask and a small little sleeping pad (about the size of 2 dish towels stitched together) would have such a dramatic effect on foot pain and eyesight, but... all I know is, it WORKED. I am still kind of in shock that something so simple and natural could have had such a dramatic effect. How was that even possible??
Apparently, this SleepM company has figured out how to combine biocrystal into a mattress pad, in a way that helps your body to get a better night's sleep. And when you can get a better night's sleep, your cells are able to repair themselves like they should. You can read more about the Science behind SleepM products (and biocrystal technology) on THIS PAGE. The technology really does sound too good to be true, and I am SURE there are going to be people out there who will have a hard time believing something so simple could work so well. But that doesn't matter to me, because I saw it for myself, it really did work, and it's continued to work since I've used the products.
In this day and age of EMF frequencies bombarding our world, it's way too easy for people to not get a good night's sleep. I recently bought an EMF meter, and was shocked to see what a high level of dangerous EMF frequencies were coming out of my phone, laptop, Google Nest, Wifi Router, and even the cables in my bedroom wall. EMF radiation is known to cause problems with sleep, so it's no wonder that more and more people are experiencing chronic sleep issues.
Since I've seen what a dramatic difference the SleepM products made for Monica, I suggested we film a video about it. I made a recording of our conversation after that first night I used it, and decided to turn it into a youtube video, which you can watch at the top of this page (if you haven't already).
Monica and I are both very passionate about helping people with their health, so we'd be happy to help you answer any questions you may have about the SleepM products. We are both fairly new customers ourselves, but if there's something we don't know yet, we'll work on getting an answer for you. SleepM is fairly new to the United States, but the products have been in Canada and Asia for a long time. I'm just so happy Monica told me about it!
If you have any questions or would like to place an order yourself, just fill out the contact form on the right side of the page, or give us a call at 1-888-98-SLEEP (888-987-5337), and either me or Monica will be speaking with you soon!
